How to Apply

For the overseas students

Step 1:        Complete the application form

  • The application form can be downloaded from Download Application Form or the College will send it to the students by post on request.
  • Complete the application form and send this to the college by post or e-mail along with the following items:
    • Two passport size photographs of the student
    • Certified copies of relevant educational certificates
    • Passport copies (personal details pages) 

Step 2:        Provisional registration letter

  • On verification of the documents the college will issue the student with a provisional registration letter.

Step 3:        Full enrolment letter

  • The applicant should make at least minimum down payment, specified in the provisional letter, in the form of bank draft or any other legitimate method. The draft must be made in favour of ‘CATFORD College’.
  • Upon receipt of the minimum down payment specified in the provisional letter, the college will issue full enrolment letter/CAS.

For the students who are already in UK

Step 1:        Complete the application form

  • The application form can be downloaded from Download Application Form or the College will send it to the students by post on request.
  • Complete the application form and send this to the college by post or e-mail along with the following items:
    • Three passport size photographs of the student
    • Certified copies of relevant educational certificates
    • Passport copies (personal details including visa pages) 

Step 2:        Confirmation of enrolment letter

  • The applicant should make at least a minimum down payment in the form of bank draft or debit card or cash or any other legitimate method. The draft must be made in favour of ‘CATFORD College’.
  • Upon receipt of the minimum down payment the college will issue full enrolment letter/CAS.

Guidance in relation to Application for Entry Clearance

For students wishing to obtain entry clearance before coming to UK, the following documents need to be submitted along with your application form:

  1. Letter of enrolment from the College, which states that the College has received tuition fees and a place, is reserved on the course.

  2. Any other relevant documents sent by the College. (e.g. accommodation letter)

  3. Passport.

  4. Documents showing the availability of funds to cover the cost of living in the UK.

  5. Original copies of relevant academic certificates referred in the confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS).

  6. Documentation to demonstrate the intention to leave the UK after completion of studies.

Please note the above list is not exhaustive. You should check with your nearest British Embassy/High Commission or their appointed body. This information is given for general guidance and should be checked locally. College will not take any responsibility for any change in rules and regulations in this regard.

Other information

Payment of Fees by Installment
Students may pay tuition fees by installments under appropriate terms and conditions.

Deferred Enrolment
New or overseas students who have problems starting their course on time may have their enrolment deferred to the next semester without loss of registration fee.

Scholarship
A number of merit scholarships are awarded every semester to outstanding students towards the cost of their tuition fees.

Visa Extension
If an international student wishes to further their studies while at the CATFORD
College and needs to extend their visa, our team will assist in the application process and in any other way we can.

Refund
CATFORD college has a policy to refund the tuition fee in full, excluding the registration fee, to the students in the following circumstances.

  • If the admission is rejected by the CATFORD college admission office or
  • If the visa application is rejected by the British High Commission (This is applicable for the overseas students).

Conditions for refund :

Students should return all the letters issued by the college in original and Student should submit the visa refusal letter (original copy) which will be returned to the student along with the refund money.

Note:   No amount will be refunded under the any of following circumstances:

  • When the student is in receipt of UK visa or an entry permit,
  •  Once the course has commenced,
  • Visa refusal that occurs due to any kind of deception such as students
    producing fake documents or misrepresent or failed to disclose vital
    information to the college or UKBA.
  • Failed to provide required/necessary original documents to the relevant
    British High Commission/Embassy/UKBA
  • Failed to show required maintenance fund

All refund requests must be made in written form along with a copy of the official
visa refusal letter by the relevant High Commission /Embassy/UKBA within 4 weeks
of the refusal date otherwise no refund will be made.
